Reminder: 2022 Distinguished Teaching Award

September 6, 2021

The Academic Senate’s Committee on Teaching is currently accepting nominations for the 2022 Distinguished Teaching Award (DTA), the highest teaching award on the Berkeley campus. We strongly encourage you to nominate someone from your department for this prestigious award.

Please note the approaching nomination deadline for the 2022 DTA is Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Guidelines and procedures for nominations can be found on the program webpage.

While the nomination needs to be approved and submitted by the department chair, vice-chair for instruction, or other appropriate official, the nomination itself may be initiated by anyone in a department, including students.

If you have questions about the award guidelines, procedures or application, please contact Andrea Roth (aroth@law.berkeley.edu), Chair of the Committee on Teaching, or the Center for Teaching and Learning (teaching@berkeley.edu).

The Distinguished Teaching Award Ceremony will be held in April 2022 (date TBD).

Sincerely,

Oliver M. O’Reilly
Interim Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education
