January 9, 2024

Dear undergraduate student,

We are thrilled to unveil a brand-new course that promises to celebrate all that is UC Berkeley. Whether you’re new to campus or in your final semester, this course is not to be missed! Here are four reasons why you should enroll in Brilliance of Berkeley.

  1. Add an easy, interesting unit to your course load: Brilliance of Berkeley is a 1-unit (P/NP) class with no midterms or final, and less than an hour of work outside of class per week.
  2. Flexibility and accessibility: The course can be taken completely online through video streaming or you can join in person, Fridays from 12-2 p.m. in Wheeler Hall.
  3. Exceptional instructors: Every week, you'll hear guest lectures by esteemed faculty members, each representing different colleges and schools within Berkeley. Nobel laureates, MacArthur “genius” fellows, and other notable scholars will introduce you to diverse fields of study and wisdom.
  4. Celebrate community: We have exciting out-of-class activities planned, designed to create a strong sense of community and connection among students. We are committed to creating a vibrant community where you can thrive and succeed.
