Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the executive vice chancellor and provost (EVCP) and myself, I write to invite you to submit nominations (including self nominations) for the position of curriculum & pedagogy director for the Berkeley Changemaker academic program. In order to ensure the broadest pool of applicants for this important role, the deadline to submit nominations has been extended to Friday, September 20, at 5:00 p.m.
You may learn more about the responsibilities of the role, the nomination process, along with the desired applicant qualifications, on the nomination form. We invite nominations of tenured Berkeley faculty who have a demonstrated commitment to innovative teaching and learning, as well as to improving the undergraduate student experience.
About Berkeley Changemaker
Berkeley Changemaker® is a campus-wide certificate program that includes over 35 courses, all based on three through-lines -- critical thinking, communication, and collaboration -- currently enrolling some 20% of undergraduates, with aspirations for continued growth. Berkeley Changemaker represents a wider and more inclusive lens into entrepreneurial thinking for students. In fact, Berkeley Changemakers are more diverse than the general undergraduate population on every metric. The curriculum activates undergraduates’ passions and develops a sharper sense of who they want to be and how to make that happen.
Fiat Lux,
Oliver O’Reilly
Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education
