Dear Community,
We are pleased to announce the 2025 Charlene Conrad Liebau Library Prize for Undergraduate Research, which is now open for submissions. The Prize recognizes undergraduate students who make significant use of UC Berkeley Library collections & resources in their scholarly work.
For Undergraduate Students
The Prize is open to Cal undergraduates from any discipline and class level, and includes cash awards ($950 for lower division; $1,200 for upper division) with multiple possible winners in each category. Lower division students are especially encouraged to apply; their applications will be judged separately from the upper division category.
Eligible projects must have been completed in a credit-bearing course at UC Berkeley during one of these semesters:
Lower division: Spring 2024, Summer 2024, Fall 2024, or Spring 2025
Upper division: Summer 2024, Fall 2024, or Spring 2025
For Instructors & GSIs
While this message goes out widely, we rely on instructors to spread the word. We would be most grateful if you’d encourage your current and/or former undergraduates (within the eligibility window described above) to apply.
Application details are available on the Berkeley Library website, and applications close Friday, April 4, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
We look forward to finding and celebrating the best undergraduate research on campus.
Best,
Oliver O'Reilly
