The American Cultures (AC) Center is now accepting submissions and inviting nominations for the 2023 AC Student Prize. The Prize is open to enrolled UC Berkeley undergraduates who have completed or are completing a final project as part of their lower or upper division AC course. Applicants may revise or further develop a project that they have already submitted in a previous AC course.
We encourage AC faculty members to recommend students for the Prize whose paper, poetry, short story, or other coursework from an AC course reflects an exemplary understanding of race, culture, ethnicity, and the diversity of the American experience. Undergraduate students from all levels can apply for the Prize. Applications and letters of support must be submitted by Friday, March 31, 2023.
Recipients will receive a $1,000 prize and publication on the AC Center's E-Scholarship website, and will be honored at a virtual ceremony in May. Application information is available on the AC Center website. Inquiries about the AC Student Prize may be sent to americancultures@berkeley.edu.
