Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education Oliver O’Reilly invites UC Berkeley faculty for a special session on instructional updates.
The Spring 2024 Instructional Update will take place on Tuesday, January 9, 10-11 a.m. via Zoom. The event will feature presentations on emerging issues, resources, and updates from Undergraduate Education, Graduate Division, the Academic Senate, and Research, Teaching, and Learning. Presenters include:
- Oliver O'Reilly, Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education
- Max Auffhammer, Chair of the Berkeley Academic Senate
- Lisa Garcia Bedolla, Vice Provost for Graduate Studies and Dean of the Graduate Division
- Erfan Mojaddam, Deputy Chief Academic Technology Officer and Director of Learning Technologies and Spaces
- Jenae Cohn, Executive Director, Center for Teaching and Learning
To participate, please register by 12 p.m. Monday, January 8. A Zoom link and other details will be shared with registrants prior to the event. Faculty are welcome to invite graduate student instructors, advisors, and academic staff who may benefit from attending.

Special Session: DSP Accommodations
Immediately following the Instructional Update, please join us from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a special session on DSP Accommodations. This session will take place via Zoom and will focus on instructor resources for navigating the DSP (Disabled Students’ Program) accommodations process and the critical role of faculty within this process.
Come learn about roles and responsibilities of faculty and students, the DSP intake process, and do’s and don’ts for instructors. Presenters include:
