Dear Colleagues,
We write to share an update concerning the Friday, April 24, 2026 deadline for the updated ADA Title II Digital Accessibility requirements that we previously communicated. While a recent Department of Justice (DOJ) announcement extends the Title II compliance deadline to April 2027, our university is also subject to Section 504 Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) requirements which mandate the same digital accessibility compliance. The HHS applicable deadline for digital accessibility compliance is Monday, May 11, 2026.
If HHS follows the DOJ and announces an extension to their May 11, 2026 deadline, we will announce it to the campus as soon as possible. At this time, however, we are still subject to the May 11, 2026 deadline.
