Apply to SACUE

Current Berkeley undergraduate students of all majors, class standings, and backgrounds are encouraged to apply to the Student Advisory Council on Undergraduate Education (SACUE). Students may be nominated to SACUE by Berkeley faculty, staff, or other students; students may also self nominate. Once a nomination is submitted, the student will be contacted with application information.

Nominations for the 2021-22 academic year are being accepted through Thursday, August 26, 2021

Expectations

SACUE members are expected to:

  • Work effectively in project-focused teams and be comfortable engaging with campus stakeholders

  • Attend monthly 45-minute check-ins with Oliver M. O’Reilly, Interim Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education

  • Participate in two SACUE projects throughout the year (approximately three hours)

  • Work effectively in independent student-run teams and engage with a variety of opinions in a diverse group setting

  • Possess interest in campus academic life and a passion for improving the undergraduate experience at UC Berkeley

  • Respect the confidentiality of SACUE and offer thoughtful advice
