The CS Scholars Program at UC Berkeley is a community in which students can learn and grow together. The EECS Center for Student Affairs (CSA) recognizes the unique challenges that students from under-resourced and low opportunity communities face at the university and in computer science therefore our goal is to provide a supportive network in which students can thrive.
Sponsored by the Rose Hills Foundation and administered by the Office of Undergraduate Research & Scholarships, Rose Hills Summer Scholarships enable UC Berkeley students from STEM disciplines to immerse themselves in full-time summer research. Open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors, the fellowship supports both faculty-led and independent projects. To be eligible, students must be US Citizens with permanent residence in Southern California and be majoring in select STEM majors. The scholarship provides students with $5000 in summer funding.

The Transfer Empowerment Program is a transformative experience designed for transfer students in the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society who seek to grow, develop leadership skills, forge lasting friendships, and find a true sense of belonging. Berkeley Engineering’s Transfer Pre-Engineering Program (T-PREP) begins with a three week summer program offered to incoming Berkeley Engineering transfer students. T-PREP continues throughout the year with workshops and events that are for your cohort. The transition from a community college to a major research university can be challenging, and transfer students often underestimate the degree of change. Students who participate in T-PREP will be fully prepared to meet the rigors of being a junior in the College of Engineering.
The Stat Scholars Program consists of academic support and a community for students in Statistics courses.
