This update makes it easier to explore opportunities, connect with alumni, and navigate campus resources—all in one place, ensuring your student journey doesn’t just end at graduation, but evolves into a lifelong Cal alumni experience.
What These Tools Offer
- With the Discovery Opportunities Platform—formerly the Discovery Database—you can find undergraduate opportunities like research roles, internships, scholarships, and campus programs.
- With My Berkeley Alumni Portal you can connect with alumni for mentorship, career advice, and networking.
What’s New Today
- You can switch between My Berkeley and Discovery Opportunities Platform using the menu in the top‑left corner after you log in.
- The Discovery Opportunities Platform has a new look based on student feedback—cleaner, easier to search, and more intuitive.
- The first time you log in, you’ll complete a quick, one‑time My Berkeley profile setup. Most questions are optional.
You can also continue to rely on Berkeley Career Engagement for support in strengthening your applications and developing networking skills as you use these platforms.
Bringing Discovery Platform and My Berkeley together makes it even easier for you to discover what’s out there and to get support from alumni who’ve been where you are, and may help you get to where you want to go!
