Dear Community,
We are pleased to announce the 2026 Charlene Conrad Liebau Library Prize for Undergraduate Research, which is now open for submissions. The Prize recognizes undergraduate students who make significant use of UC Berkeley Library collections & resources in their scholarly work.
The Prize is open to Cal undergraduates from any discipline and class level, and includes cash awards ($950 for lower division; $1,200 for upper division) with multiple possible winners in each category. Lower division students are especially encouraged to apply; their applications will be judged separately from the upper division category.
Eligible projects must have been completed in a credit-bearing course at UC Berkeley during one of these semesters: Spring 2025, Summer 2025, Fall 2025, or Spring 2026.
While this message goes out widely, we rely on instructors to spread the word. Please encourage current and/or former undergraduates (within the eligibility window described above) to apply.
